    SCHS met the test accountability rating however, the count of overall count of assessments scored in Academic Growth is widely different between Math and Evidence-Based Reading & Writing.SCHS is concerned that the student performance was impacted by the lack of common formative assessments and implementation of interventions to address areas of improvement for all student groups in ELA and Math.SCHS students earned a mean score of 946.6 and did not meet or exceed state mean score for the SAT assessment. PSAT Math ranked overall at the 45th median growth percentile. PSAT ELA ranked overall at the 47th median growth percentile. SCHS is not satisfied with the results as indicated from the 2019 PSAT ELA and Math data in the area of Academic Growth. CMAS Science ranked overall at the 8th percentile. PSAT Math ranked overall at the 35th percentile. PSAT ELA ranked overall at the 34th percentile. SCHS is not satisfied with the results as indicated from the 2019 PSAT ELA, PSAT Math, and CMAS Science data in the area of Academic Achievement. SCHS had an overall rating as ''Approaching'' in the areas of Academic Achievement, Academic Growth, and Postsecondary & Workforce Readiness. The 2019 School Performance Framework summary results indicate Sand Creek High School rated as ''Improvement'' with a performance percentage of 48.7%. All stakeholders were presented with and provided the opportunity to provide input into the proposed strategies.The UIP leadership team compiled the results and continued the focus on four improvement strategies.Teacher Leaders, Department Chairs, Administration and the School Accountability Committee members (teacher representatives, parent representatives, and administration representatives) analyzed the one-year School Performance Frameworks to identify and discuss trends, propose and analyze root causes, and to propose and revise previous strategies aimed as addressing root causes.

    The school's leadership team and faculty analyzed PSAT, SAT and CMAS data during professional development days and staff meetings, beginning in August 2019.Administrative duties are distributed among the eight leadership positions. The current leadership structure consists of the following positions: one campus director, two associate principals, two teacher leaders, one dean of students, one dean of workplace learning and one instructional coach. As of July 2016, Sand Creek High School revised its leadership structure to waive (via School District #49 Board of Education) the position of a traditional building principal.

    Our student sub-populations include 30% Hispanic, 10% African-American, 11% multiple races and 4% Asian. Students with an Individualized Education Plan make up 11% of our population. Sand Creek High School has a strong English Language Development program that serves approximately 4% of our students. Advanced Placement course offerings have increased and will continue to provide our students with many upper level options. Sand Creek High School has a robust concurrent enrollment program and offers a variety of college courses on campus. AVID Elective courses are offered to our freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. Sand Creek High School is in the second year of implementation of AVID. Sand Creek High School is located on the eastern edge of Colorado Springs and serves approximately 1135 students of Falcon School District #49.
